SPRING VALLEY MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO FELONY SEXUAL ABUSE OF MINOR
Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced today that Luis QuinacMorales, 41 of Spring Valley, New York pled guilty to Course of Sexual Conduct in the First Degree on November 6, 2024, before the Honorable Anne B. Bianchi in Rockland County Court.
Beginning in 2016, the defendant routinely sexually abused a 12-year-old female in the Village of Spring Valley. The repeated sexual abuse consisted of sexual intercourse.
District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II said, “The defendant in this case subjected a 12- year-old innocent child to horrific sexual abuse. My Office works in collaboration with our partners in law enforcement on the local, state, and federal level and will use all available resources to protect children in Rockland County. I would like to thank the Spring Valley Police Department for working closely with detectives from the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Special Investigations Unit and the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Special Victims Unit on this investigation.”
Quinac-Morales pled guilty immediately prior to the commencement of a jury trial. The defendant is facing a 9-year state prison sentence, followed by a 20-year period of postrelease supervision, and he will have to register as a sex offender. He is scheduled for sentencing on January 14, 2025.
The investigation was conducted by the Spring Valley Police Department with assistance from the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Special Investigations Unit and Special Victims Unit.
First Assistant District Attorney Kathleen Devlin and Executive Assistant District Attorney Kristin Tirino prosecuted the case.
