SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTED IN CLARKSTOWN RESULTS IN ARREST OF MAN FOR POSSESSING GHOST GUN

Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh, II, announced today the arrest of Charles Breslow, 24 of New City, NY, after a four-month investigation by the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force into Ghost Guns in Rockland County.

On April 7, 2025, a search warrant was executed on Charles Breslow’s home in New City. The search discovered Breslow to be in possession of a loaded 9 MM Ghost Gun and several high-capacity clips.

Breslow was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (Two counts for the two high-capacity magazines), Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree.

District Attorney Walsh said: “Ghost Guns are un-serialized, untraceable firearms that are put together by components purchased either as a kit or as separate pieces. These firearms are fully functioning guns that are as lethal as a fully finished, serialized firearm. My Office is committed to removing illegal firearms from our streets. These investigations are ongoing, and we will work closely with our partners in law enforcement to keep the residents of Rockland County safe."

The case was investigated by the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force with assistance from the Westchester County Police Department Narcotics Unit and the Clarkstown Police Department.

Breslow was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court before Judge Leslie Kahn and was remanded to Rockland County Jail on $25,000 bail.

It should be noted that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation, and a defendant should be presumed innocent until found guilty.
